software automation engineer!

As Our Software Automation Engineer, your responsibilities include exploring and implementing new ways to automate systems, improving current automation infrastructure, and developing internal tools. You are passionate about automating everything that makes sense and will not stop until you find a way to do that.  You will report to the Monitoring & Automation team lead while working closely with C++ developers in a cross-functional team. The position requires an excellent problem-solving mindset, organisational skills, and attention to detail.

The essentials:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Proven track record in software development and CI/CD
  • Able to perform advanced troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading of existing systems
  • Experience creating and maintaining build systems, using a variety of tools and frameworks to make software building and deployment easier
  • Able to help resolve complex technical challenges with multi-team impact
  • Flexible and adaptable to keep up with the latest techniques and technologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Participate and assist in investigation and creation of internal tools
  • Support your team with other product development related activities when required
  • Tech stack: Puppet, git, python (& if needed/interested: C++, InfluxDB, FluxQL)

Extra points for: 

  • Experience with C++ or willing to learn
  • Experience with Linux-based systems and Debian Package Repository management
  • Experience in Reverse Engineering hardware
  • Experience in Automotive and/or Embedded electronics is considered as an advantage
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

Our offices are located in Viljandi, Tallinn and Tartu.

We offer transportation five times a week from Tartu to Viljandi and back.
